The Phantom of the Opera tells the sad story of a disfigured musical genius who lives hidden under the Paris Opera. Rejected since childhood, he finds comfort only in music and dreams of love. He falls deeply for Christine, but his love is full of loneliness and pain. In the sequel, Love Never Dies, the Phantom lives in America, still longing for Christine. They meet again, but tragedy follows as Christine dies, leaving the Phantom alone with his sorrow. Both musicals show the Phantom’s endless loneliness, unfulfilled love, and tragic fate.

This was the complete hoped for theatrical experience... opera, ballet, live orchestra all performing at top level. Equally excellent were costume, effects, stage design. Humour and pathos in the story were appreciated equally by the full house. Front of house welcome, quality of service and comfort of seating were first rate so the theatre itself played its part in making this my best West End experience in a long while. ( I am 85 so have seen a good few)! Congratulations all round. Frances Mulligan

I took my mum as we have both watched the movie several times. It was brilliant and I can't fault the actors at all. The humour with the play definitely uplifted the whole atmosphere of the play. We sat at the back of the royal circle & it was difficult to see certain parts of the play but I know for next time to try and get a front seat. It was very emotional and I cried at the end. You could definitely feel how phantom felt having his heart broken by a woman he loved. Would recommend to anyone (who have watched the film at least). 5 STARS 🌟
